Building the Knowledge Layer for Binary Reverse Engineering

RevGraph Labs Inc. is a deep-technology company focused on advancing binary analysis through structured knowledge, applied AI, and practitioner-driven tooling.

Modern reverse engineering remains largely isolated and ephemeral. Critical context - symbols, type information, protocol structures, and semantic understanding - is recreated repeatedly across organizations and lost between teams. RevGraph Labs is building infrastructure to change that.

"We believe every binary can be understood - and that knowledge should compound."

Founder & Principal Researcher

Jason Tang is a reverse engineer and cybersecurity researcher with over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, software development, embedded systems, firmware analysis, and operational technology security.

He previously served for more than a decade at the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security (formerly Communications Security Establishment), where he worked across roles including electronics technologist, software developer, and vulnerability researcher. His work focused on low-level systems, protocol analysis, embedded platforms, and security research in high-assurance environments.

Following public service, Jason held senior cybersecurity research roles in the private sector, specializing in firmware reverse engineering, industrial control systems, and advanced threat analysis.

Why RevGraph Exists

Reverse engineering is one of the most technically demanding disciplines in cybersecurity and systems research. Yet the tooling ecosystem lacks a shared knowledge substrate comparable to source-level symbol servers or structured artifact sharing services.

Analysts repeatedly rediscover:

  • Function names
  • Data structures
  • Protocol formats
  • Calling conventions
  • System architecture patterns

SymGraph aims to provide a structured, opt-in metadata layer for compiled software - enabling durable, composable understanding across tools and teams while respecting privacy and ownership boundaries.

"The goal is not automation for its own sake. The goal is augmented expertise."

What Guides Us

Practitioner-Built

Tools designed by active reverse engineers for real analytical workflows.

Privacy-Aware by Design

No proprietary data ingestion. No scraping. Metadata contributions are account-based and explicitly controlled.

Human-Augmented AI

Artificial intelligence should accelerate expert reasoning - not obscure or replace it.

Long-Term Infrastructure

We are building durable systems, not short-term tooling experiments.

The Vision

Binary software powers everything from embedded devices to personal computers to critical infrastructure. Yet at the binary level, knowledge is fragmented and transient.

RevGraph Labs is building the foundation for shared, structured binary intelligence - enabling the next generation of reverse engineering research and tooling.

Every binary, understood.
